Forza Horizon 4 won't launch

It ran great until I bought the Ultimate Add-Ons bundle, now it simply crashes after showing the splash screen for 30 seconds.

From the event viewer:

The program ForzaHorizon4.exe version 0.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

Edit 12/13/2019: After installing the latest update last night, the game seemed to start fine. I will continue to update this post with status.

Edit 12/14/2019: The game no longer starts.

Edit 12/28/2019: See user realcoda's post on page 5 for a solution. Be sure to back up everything on your PC before attempting as it involves editing your registry.

Edit 2/19/2020: The game runs after today's patch.

Edit 2/21/2020: Today's patch has reintroduced the original issue.

    I'm not sure maybe they are looking at it who knows lol, they are shooting themselves in the foot though with such a trivial issue

    yes i think you are right. Once people start putting reviews about the game online ,they may end up with even bigger problems. Reviews mm an idea i have already given a suitable review on a well known website,even though i didnt buy from them. We may yet have the last laugh. regards

    i keep info coming as i hear anything,still have one ticket open.

    My review is in the Microsoft store I have warned people not to purchase the ultimate edition as it's broken. My ticket is back open and now we wait, what a complete joke this is though

    thanks...i forgot to do a review...just done one ,hopefully it will stop anyone else wasting time and money. Yes it is a joke and when you see how many people have this problem and have for months. Hope they fix it before i die..lol.

    I hope so too, after actually playing the cracked version I quite enjoyed it so it would be a shame if they don't fix it. For now looks like I'll stick with the cracked version *SIGH* but I'll keep checking here in case the issue gets resolved.

    Well at least the Microsoft guy emailed me back and I've explained to him that I think it's to do with registering I have even given the event viewer details which specifically states Registry
