Forza Horizon 4 won't launch

It ran great until I bought the Ultimate Add-Ons bundle, now it simply crashes after showing the splash screen for 30 seconds.

From the event viewer:

The program ForzaHorizon4.exe version 0.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

Edit 12/13/2019: After installing the latest update last night, the game seemed to start fine. I will continue to update this post with status.

Edit 12/14/2019: The game no longer starts.

Edit 12/28/2019: See user realcoda's post on page 5 for a solution. Be sure to back up everything on your PC before attempting as it involves editing your registry.

Edit 2/19/2020: The game runs after today's patch.

Edit 2/21/2020: Today's patch has reintroduced the original issue.

    hi  I tried to reply to your last comment about consumer rights and you vanish from the screen,maybe they removed it,im guessing but maybe you got them worried . so I replying to your previous comment

    Nah I removed it as I gave them this link :) So as they can see it's not just me. I am giving them until the end of the month and if it's still not fixed then I shall proceed further I am not happy at all

    Hi oh I see, im not happy,but at least can play on my old pc. Which I thought it must be the add on because I didn't download the add ons to this old pc. so it must be something in the add on down load and installation. all we can do is wait I suppose,but I wont just go away which is probably what they want. Good luck!

    I found that people with Forza motorsport 7 are/were having the exact same problem. It really is disgusting the way we are being ignored it is not acceptable. Thing is I don't know who is to blame be it Microsoft or Turn10 but whoever it is then need a swift kick up the **** imho
