Forza Horizon 4 won't launch

It ran great until I bought the Ultimate Add-Ons bundle, now it simply crashes after showing the splash screen for 30 seconds.

From the event viewer:

Edit 12/13/2019: After installing the latest update last night, the game seemed to start fine. I will continue to update this post with status.

Edit 12/14/2019: The game no longer starts.

Edit 12/28/2019: See user realcoda's post on page 5 for a solution. Be sure to back up everything on your PC before attempting as it involves editing your registry.

Edit 2/19/2020: The game runs after today's patch.

Edit 2/21/2020: Today's patch has reintroduced the original issue.

    Yes we have to pile on the pressure! I forwarded a link to a microsoft ambassador in the USA yesterday to ask him to read our thread and see how we are all struggling with this issue.his response........nil

    Shows you they couldnt give a .....

    Spamming it to a Microsoft Ambassador won't do anything, just keep writing tickets to forza support. If everyone here in this thread did that, as well as show links to others having this a issue, it'll leave a bigger image and footprint than for example one bloke writing a ticket and the rest aren't.

    Well I've used their support and after talking with them eventually got an automated response 

    • "Thanks for taking the time out to report this issue in! It's definitely troubling to hear that happen in the game and we want to make Forza the best racing game possible for fans and players like yourself.

    We are currently investigating this issue and I've added your information to our investigation. I am marking this ticket as "Solved" as we do not require more information from you for our investigation and are working on a fix. We don't need to bother you with a ton of questions or troubleshooting tips, as its being worked on by our devs already.

    We will send out an announcement to the Community when we have a resolution.

    Thank you for taking the time to write in on this!"

    • They are basically saying it is solved when it clearly isn't. I am not happy at all

    yes we must al l keep opening new tickets....they give standard response though. i will do another and when i get a moment do another
