Forza Horizon 4 won't launch

It ran great until I bought the Ultimate Add-Ons bundle, now it simply crashes after showing the splash screen for 30 seconds.

From the event viewer:

Edit 12/13/2019: After installing the latest update last night, the game seemed to start fine. I will continue to update this post with status.

Edit 12/14/2019: The game no longer starts.

Edit 12/28/2019: See user realcoda's post on page 5 for a solution. Be sure to back up everything on your PC before attempting as it involves editing your registry.

Edit 2/19/2020: The game runs after today's patch.

Edit 2/21/2020: Today's patch has reintroduced the original issue.

    Thanks for taking the time out to report this issue in! It's definitely troubling to hear that happen in the game and we want to make Forza the best racing game possible for fans and players like yourself.

    We are currently investigating this issue and I've added your information to our investigation. I am marking this ticket as "Solved" as we do not require more information from you for our investigation and are working on a fix. We don't need to bother you with a ton of questions or troubleshooting tips, as its being worked on by our devs already.

    We will send out an announcement to the Community when we have a resolution.

    Same here.But they did fix a free forza 6 apex which stopped working on my pc 3 years ago.and now it works. My grandson has fh4 plus addons on xbox and so far no problem.

    Yes i tried all of those. Maybe we should keep chatting to advisors on Microsoft .after all it is owned by them and if we keep on with the same subject it might get through to them to fix this problem

    I hope so otherwise it's money wasted and will deter me from buying games and sticking with cracked games at least support with other games is 100pct

    we live in hope. I spent all day trying to get new pc to run it but another day wasted. I got refund on add-ons so I thought I would uninstall and re download the original version...hours wasted. yet it works on old pc after about 10 times launching it. you would think after all the hassle its caused they would exchange the game for the ultimate game,and let me keep that. but not a chance basic game now ...runs so slow on my old pc.

    I will post any response if that ever happens
