Forza Horizon 4 won't launch

It ran great until I bought the Ultimate Add-Ons bundle, now it simply crashes after showing the splash screen for 30 seconds.

From the event viewer:

The program ForzaHorizon4.exe version 0.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

Edit 12/13/2019: After installing the latest update last night, the game seemed to start fine. I will continue to update this post with status.

Edit 12/14/2019: The game no longer starts.

Edit 12/28/2019: See user realcoda's post on page 5 for a solution. Be sure to back up everything on your PC before attempting as it involves editing your registry.

Edit 2/19/2020: The game runs after today's patch.

Edit 2/21/2020: Today's patch has reintroduced the original issue.

    this is a nightmare...i have been raising tickets with forza and they just show as open... no contact back.i have searched internet about this and it seems it is happening everywhere ,and has been happening for months,they are supposed to be working on a fix for this problem. Dont know how long this is going to take.one guy says he raised tickets about this for 3 months and is still same. i cant understand why they are still ripping people off by selling it. microsoft passed me to xbox and they passed me to forza .thats it we are stuck. the old pc that it worked on the other day will only launch it now and then ,not everytime. Cant really run it on that as not enough ram. i think now we should not mess up our pc's by making changes as it can only make other apps play up. So now its a waitng game.If i dont here anything i will keep contacting them to keep the pressure up. if i get any result i will post it on this thread. regards..

    nothing has worked on my latest version of windows. it seems we have to wait for forza to find a fix. wouldnt hold my breath though. it seems this has been going on for months

    Does sunrisegames have an adres otherwise somebody could just go there and adress it face to face then they havent got an excuse to not reply🤷‍♂️

    I received a reply from their support and they essentially told me to stop writing because they "are working on a fix" for it already. 

    Given that this issue is existing since over 6 months by now, i have a hard time believing this.
