It ran great until I bought the Ultimate Add-Ons bundle, now it simply crashes after showing the splash screen for 30 seconds.

yes i have forza motorsport 6 apex, had it on pc for few years ,that worked at first then would not start but it works now.
You're in the exact same boat as me famzo, did the exact same thing as you, and got the exact same issue. I already tried a clean install of windows, and it didn't help sadly. :(
I have just finished re-downloading Forza 4 Ultimate Edition on a clean install of Windows and the game seems to be loading for me, at least for now.
(To be clear I did "Reset This PC" and selected to remove everything). On the fresh install I haven't installed Drivers yet. Just let Windows choose it's own, and I also made sure to delete the WindowsApp folder, and I could see it was still there.
I then installed the Xbox Beta app and chose to specifically install the Ultimate Edition. (this then automatically downloads and installs the base game and addons, (not sure if this did anything).
Not sure what the issue is here, possibly there's something wrong with the install of the game after upgrading to Ultimate. Unfortunately games through Xbox/MS Store lack basic features such as verifying files so I think you just have to end up downloading the entire game again. I'm going to monitor across the next week and hopefully the issue doesn't come up again.
I've been having this issue since November and have been working tickets off and on the whole time. (the latest is request 63943) The only thing that worked was reinstalling the operating system, unfortunately I didn't see this thread until after I installed the addons last night and it was broken again this morning.
After dealing with support, it looks like there's no known resolution yet, they just keep asking me what my processor is, my gpu and how much memory I have. I'm not sure why they can't just scroll up in the ticket and look at the last time they asked me but... whatever. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.
