Forza Horizon 4 won't launch

It ran great until I bought the Ultimate Add-Ons bundle, now it simply crashes after showing the splash screen for 30 seconds.

From the event viewer:

Edit 12/13/2019: After installing the latest update last night, the game seemed to start fine. I will continue to update this post with status.

Edit 12/14/2019: The game no longer starts.

Edit 12/28/2019: See user realcoda's post on page 5 for a solution. Be sure to back up everything on your PC before attempting as it involves editing your registry.

Edit 2/19/2020: The game runs after today's patch.

Edit 2/21/2020: Today's patch has reintroduced the original issue.

    Have same issues here too.

    Was working fine with the Game Pass version played about 25 hours loved it, I then bought "Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Edition" during xmas sales and now the game won't launch.

    For now I'm going to attempt a clean install of windows removing everything and re-download the game entirely. I'm assuming this should essentially reset the registry. I've also gone and deleted the WindowsApps folder myself to make sure it's completely wiped. (I'll report back if this fixes my issue.)

    If this doesn't fix this issue then I'm just going to refund the game. This game came out in 2018, kinda ridiculous bugs like this are still in the game because of broken MS store and DRM implementation.

    Well both Forza and Microsoft have my event viewer error, I suggest people show them the event viewer error in hopes they actually understand there is a problem still. I have spent all night trying to figure out what is wrong even turning off the Microsoft-Windows-DistributedCOM server but to no avail it's due to that why it won't load for me but I'll wait and keep on at them until a solution is resolved

    it is a brilliant game,but something is wrong on the software,so many of us paid good money for this and it is not right that we should be ignored ,they keep saying the problem is our end but i have the ok from microsoft,xbox and now forza who get you to write a ticket and then just do nothing. it is robbery by the untouchables! as great the game was i am going to write it off as a loss,as taking up too much time. Which i think that is what they want us all to do.

    Yay Forza replied back to me asking me to update Windows which is updated and then proceeded to say

    "Hello, It seems that your Xbox live is not valid, please make sure that your Xbox live is still active and your Game pass is also valid, 

    Thank you, "

    Except it appears to be valid being as I got Game pass and added Halo the master chief collection. So I'm still without Forza and still clueless

    And I even tested the online part to Halo with no issue at all

    It didn't fix it for me q.q, deleted all Forza folders, and registry keys, rebooted, reinstalled the game and still got hang type activation error. aaaaaaaaaaa
