Forza Horizon 4 won't launch

It ran great until I bought the Ultimate Add-Ons bundle, now it simply crashes after showing the splash screen for 30 seconds.

From the event viewer:

The program ForzaHorizon4.exe version 0.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

Edit 12/13/2019: After installing the latest update last night, the game seemed to start fine. I will continue to update this post with status.

Edit 12/14/2019: The game no longer starts.

Edit 12/28/2019: See user realcoda's post on page 5 for a solution. Be sure to back up everything on your PC before attempting as it involves editing your registry.

Edit 2/19/2020: The game runs after today's patch.

Edit 2/21/2020: Today's patch has reintroduced the original issue.

    it should all be saved on your cloud, you shouldn't lose anything

    Are you using cloud saves? If so then I'd imagine you will keep what you have gained so far

    I fighting with this game since 28.12. I bought game in 2018 and until cloning hdd to ssd everything worked fine with some random crashes (after 20min,sometimes i have played 2h without any problems). After cloning windows forced me to reinstall FH4. And then everything starts. 

    Now im after wiping all partitions and im sure that it is not a issue on my side.

    I could start playing FH4 in the WORKING fitgirl version, but I spent hours to collect so many cars in the game that I don't want to lose them. 

    And now after reading this thread I see that devs have that kind of problems deep inside their a***s.

    Thankyou for the info. I will try it next week when i have plenty of time. Wish you all the best especially after your stroke.i know how hard life is after a stroke my father suffered a lot after his strokes. Regards and enjoy your driving!
