Forza Horizon 4 won't launch

It ran great until I bought the Ultimate Add-Ons bundle, now it simply crashes after showing the splash screen for 30 seconds.

From the event viewer:

The program ForzaHorizon4.exe version 0.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

Edit 12/13/2019: After installing the latest update last night, the game seemed to start fine. I will continue to update this post with status.

Edit 12/14/2019: The game no longer starts.

Edit 12/28/2019: See user realcoda's post on page 5 for a solution. Be sure to back up everything on your PC before attempting as it involves editing your registry.

Edit 2/19/2020: The game runs after today's patch.

Edit 2/21/2020: Today's patch has reintroduced the original issue.

    yes but its better than nothing ,it doesnt take long. hope it works for you all,only taken me a month to sort it. good luck

    You have to do it every time if you want to play? (i will try your method, but first I try to clean the regedit and simply run the game with fresh install)

    hi again...update on this problem. i have it working!!!

    i refuse to be beaten.

    firstly download the demo version

    run it

     iwent thru the seasons driving 

    escape an option to buy full version pops up

    click buy the version you own

    then it opens store,says already owned

    press play (may have to do couple times)

    then it starts and it will sync data

    all your stuff appears.

    on starting the game go to video settings and dont run fullscreen

    then when you start driving close store on task bar 

    then close demo on task bar

    and away you go

    i have told forza about this

    not sure if they will respond or read what i have done

    Today i downloaded the demo version.i went thru seasons on it then clicked on buy full version it then opened store and said i own this.so i clicked play.and it started .then syncd my account. It still wont open from my original version but went into demo again ..escaped buy again play and works .i let forza know .trouble is it will only run with demo.store and my version at same time.
