Forza Horizon 4 won't launch

It ran great until I bought the Ultimate Add-Ons bundle, now it simply crashes after showing the splash screen for 30 seconds.

From the event viewer:

The program ForzaHorizon4.exe version 0.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

Edit 12/13/2019: After installing the latest update last night, the game seemed to start fine. I will continue to update this post with status.

Edit 12/14/2019: The game no longer starts.

Edit 12/28/2019: See user realcoda's post on page 5 for a solution. Be sure to back up everything on your PC before attempting as it involves editing your registry.

Edit 2/19/2020: The game runs after today's patch.

Edit 2/21/2020: Today's patch has reintroduced the original issue.

    It would be funny if it wasnt so annoying! maybe soon if we are lucky it will be sorted,but they will probably mess up all the pc's..........

    I have to agree, I've pulled my hair out trying to get a way of contacting Microsoft as well. I'm guessing I got the discord link because I was p!ssing them off with all the chat I only had four tickets lol, but I was extremely persistent. I've learnt to be persistent because of dealing with TQDigital who I have to say are worse than Microsoft by far. TQDigital have absolutely no clue whatsoever I mean think of the most stupid people you can think of multiply it by 1000 and you're still not close to how stupid TQDigital are.

    Hi.  I have never had a discord link,its almost impossible to get any response. It is like a minefield trying to find a way of any contact.I think they make it like that so we give up. Its like that with a lot of large companies.
