Forza Horizon 4 won't launch

It ran great until I bought the Ultimate Add-Ons bundle, now it simply crashes after showing the splash screen for 30 seconds.

From the event viewer:

Edit 12/13/2019: After installing the latest update last night, the game seemed to start fine. I will continue to update this post with status.

Edit 12/14/2019: The game no longer starts.

Edit 12/28/2019: See user realcoda's post on page 5 for a solution. Be sure to back up everything on your PC before attempting as it involves editing your registry.

Edit 2/19/2020: The game runs after today's patch.

Edit 2/21/2020: Today's patch has reintroduced the original issue.

    I literally just read through the last 25 pages of everyone talking about this months back, i've had this problem since early-mid september and i to bought all the DLC's and got the game through gamepass, i haven't been able to play for so long and it is becoming extremely annoying. I threw a lot of money at this game which i haven't been able to play for almost 6 months now. I really hope they fix it soon or they're gonna have one very angry community on their hands.

    I bought the ultimate edition. Just hope it works on Wednesday, is that the 12th or 19th?

    Does this problem affect everybody?  Thinking about buying but don't want to waste my time if there's no chance it will work.

    From what I've seen in helping people in the Discord play to player support it's been people that Purchased the Standard Edition, and then Purchased the Ultimate Add On. I purchased the Ultimate Edition as well as my son, we have it installed on two PC's and two Xbox systems, Xbox one and xbox one x.

    Any of you have the problem from purchasing the Ultimate Edition upfront and not the ADD On?

    I've also heard an update will be released to fix this as well. Next update will be next Wednesday, don't know if it will be included in that update.
