Forza Horizon 4 won't launch

It ran great until I bought the Ultimate Add-Ons bundle, now it simply crashes after showing the splash screen for 30 seconds.

From the event viewer:

Edit 12/13/2019: After installing the latest update last night, the game seemed to start fine. I will continue to update this post with status.

Edit 12/14/2019: The game no longer starts.

Edit 12/28/2019: See user realcoda's post on page 5 for a solution. Be sure to back up everything on your PC before attempting as it involves editing your registry.

Edit 2/19/2020: The game runs after today's patch.

Edit 2/21/2020: Today's patch has reintroduced the original issue.

    Literally the same issue, funny enough is, is that it worked fine when I was playing the Free version through game pass, but as soon as I upgraded to ultimate I started getting the Hang Type: Activation error. I kinda feel conned and ripped off, should have just stayed with the free version, now I can't play neither of the versions and I wasted money as well on a product that doesn't work. :D

    But seriously though, either Microsoft should fix their own Ecosystem, and make sure this shit works before forcing everyone to use their shitty store, and their shitty UWP OR just release it on steam, so we can actually play the game. ;l

    Sadly I doubt this will be fixed, I contacted support but don't think they'll be able to do much since people have been having this issue since the Lego expansion and of course they still do even now, so I might just as well go for that refund, if that doesn't somehow get a Hangtype: Activation error

    Stopped working. Have the activation hang issue. Just updated windows AND bought the ultimate add ons bundle

    It works on my Xbox, but post Windows 10 1803 build does not work. Demo still works. My next step is to try it on another PC, with AMD card, but same Windows version.

    I agree, that’s what I was thinking. I just checked online and can see my purchase for ultimate plus it works on my XBOX but looks so much better on my upgraded RX 5700 XT graphic card on PC.

    That's my assumption as well. Would the error from the event log saying "hang type: activation" support the theory?
