Forza Horizon 4 won't launch

It ran great until I bought the Ultimate Add-Ons bundle, now it simply crashes after showing the splash screen for 30 seconds.

From the event viewer:

Edit 12/13/2019: After installing the latest update last night, the game seemed to start fine. I will continue to update this post with status.

Edit 12/14/2019: The game no longer starts.

Edit 12/28/2019: See user realcoda's post on page 5 for a solution. Be sure to back up everything on your PC before attempting as it involves editing your registry.

Edit 2/19/2020: The game runs after today's patch.

Edit 2/21/2020: Today's patch has reintroduced the original issue.

    Yes we have to pile on the pressure! I forwarded a link to a microsoft ambassador in the USA yesterday to ask him to read our thread and see how we are all struggling with this issue.his response........nil

    Shows you they couldnt give a .....

    Spamming it to a Microsoft Ambassador won't do anything, just keep writing tickets to forza support. If everyone here in this thread did that, as well as show links to others having this a issue, it'll leave a bigger image and footprint than for example one bloke writing a ticket and the rest aren't.

    Omg it gets worse by the day! You will have to chat with Microsoft thats down to them.good luck let us know how you get on.

    Explaining your issue, and then linking as much proof as you can of others having this issue, so links to this page we're on right now, and other examples of people having the same issue, this shows that the issue is bigger than just a small percentage, if we can get the awareness out that it's a bigger issue than it sounds, they are more likely to be inclined on investigating it! 

    So please take the small time and create a ticket!

    I am super confused now. 

    I purchased Forza Horizon 4 in 2018. 

    I had the Gamepass active until now and recently canceled it. 

    Now that the gamepass is canceled, the Xbox app tells me i need to purchase the Gamepass in order to play Forza Horizon 4. 

    If i try to check the games i own in the menu, the Xbox app "Crashes" and tells me it needs a restart to fix this issue (Surprise, it doesn't fix it). 

    If i try to lookup my games on the normal Windows Store, i get an empty page. 

    If i try to open Forza Horizon via the Search in the Windows Store, i get an error message that the page could not be loaded. 

    What the ****?
