It ran great until I bought the Ultimate Add-Ons bundle, now it simply crashes after showing the splash screen for 30 seconds.

From the event viewer:

The program ForzaHorizon4.exe version 0.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

Edit 12/13/2019: After installing the latest update last night, the game seemed to start fine. I will continue to update this post with status.

Edit 12/14/2019: The game no longer starts.

Edit 12/28/2019: See user realcoda's post on page 5 for a solution. Be sure to back up everything on your PC before attempting as it involves editing your registry.

Edit 2/19/2020: The game runs after today's patch.

Edit 2/21/2020: Today's patch has reintroduced the original issue.

I would recommend not to try and install the Ultimate Bundle after you installed the game after you deleted the game and all files and registry keys of FH4 because you already have VIP and all DLC cars unlocked in Autoshow. Just manually install expansions without installing the full bundle and it will work.

Mind telling us what folders you deleted? Such as the ones in Appdata? or?

Every single possible Forza related folder I could find on my PC, and all the Forza related Registry Keys which made me repair the system for it to be able to install again and then it worked. It is no big deal really it only repairs some of the missing registry keys and that's all. Took an hour to finish

I highly recommend only installing the Standard Edition without any add-ons ( except formula drift car pack or whatever it's called ).

Then try opening the game and if it works you will have VIP and all DLC cars without even installing them. What I did with expansions was fast travel to Lego on the map and just install it manually like that without having to install the entire Ultimate Bundle, same with Treasure Island.

Hi, I am in same situation, I bought the ultimate edition 5 days ago and I was not able to play it since.

I am a little relieved that I am not the only one to encounter this problem.

I tried everything I found on the web (except reinstalling Windows, no way !).

I was wondering if all of you have the same configuration than me ? => my game is installed on my HDD and my system is installed on my SSD.

I understand that we have to wait until next week to maybe have a solution.

Windows store is such a disaster '--
