Forza Horizon 4 won't launch

It ran great until I bought the Ultimate Add-Ons bundle, now it simply crashes after showing the splash screen for 30 seconds.

From the event viewer:

The program ForzaHorizon4.exe version 0.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

Edit 12/13/2019: After installing the latest update last night, the game seemed to start fine. I will continue to update this post with status.

Edit 12/14/2019: The game no longer starts.

Edit 12/28/2019: See user realcoda's post on page 5 for a solution. Be sure to back up everything on your PC before attempting as it involves editing your registry.

Edit 2/19/2020: The game runs after today's patch.

Edit 2/21/2020: Today's patch has reintroduced the original issue.

    Great to hear that you've got it to work! What do you mean with repair your system? Did you have to reinstall Windows?

    I know but I'd rather play the game with what I paid for. I know it might be a bit risky since I had to repair my system but the VIP and all Car packs all work without even being downloaded lmao. I'm currently downloading Lego expansion and will let you know how it goes after it finishes.

    Hello, I have installed Standard Edition without any add-ons but I got VIP rewards and I can purchase DLC cars, have they finalyl realized I bought the add-on and that it will work when I download the expansions? I'll keep you updated.
