New Windows 10 update making everything slow

So apparently Windows decided to automatically update itself while I was away from the PC. When I’m trying to log in, it takes ridiculously long (around 30-40 minutes). So I tried restarting, but startup is SUPER slow to the point that I’m stuck waiting for a black screen of death. Why is my PC slow after this recent update?

I don't think the consumer should need to learn how to figure out how to use this product.  These issues should be discovered before everyone is screwed with these issues. Every time a new version is released we see all of the discussions about why it doesn't work correctly or how to fix it. Why should I have to do this? When the last major release came out things stated working fine... and now this.

Since I completed the update, my system fully boots in about 90 seconds. Did you delete the data in the software distribution?
