New Windows 10 update making everything slow

So apparently Windows decided to automatically update itself while I was away from the PC. When I’m trying to log in, it takes ridiculously long (around 30-40 minutes). So I tried restarting, but startup is SUPER slow to the point that I’m stuck waiting for a black screen of death. Why is my PC slow after this recent update?

"If nothing else works then do a Repair Install, by installing Media Creation Tool, open tool and choose to Upgrade Now. This reinstalls Windows while keeping files, programs and most settings in place, and is also the most stable method to advance to the latest version."

Would it not make more sense for Microsoft to stop implementing Beta at best quality software and updates, since windows 7 Microsoft has no reliability and no stability and no quality control I have worked in IT for over 20 years from 3rd line support to administration and Infrastructure design implementation and maintenance .

Now I despise having to use MS products as they are such low quality!

Why is there no testing or quality control anymore?

And there's millions of users experiencing the same issues again and again after "updates" and "fixes!"

And reinstalling windows is NOT a solution its a catch all for the nightmare mess that is now Windows!

I beg my clients to use Linux or UNIX systems, however there is a very deliberate monopoly for Windo$e & Crapple for high end 3rd party software!

    ADOBE STEINBERG AutoCAD Sonar etc!

I totally agree! I despise having to constantly repair customers infrastructure over garbage updates and no testing or quality control. Its a misnomer to be enterprise software that is never finished or even at Beta quality!

Hi Richard At first had same issues, BUT, when I used a Brand New Drive (M2 500Gb) all the issues disappeared. However when I transferred (Cloned) tro an almost new SSD I started to have Issues with the system not booting fast, taking anything up to 5 minutes to boot, looking for Updates, Updating PC. etc etc....When I re-installed my M2 Drive, all issues disappeared. My conclusion is that when one wants to use WIN 10, install first time directly onto a new Hard Drive, SSD, M2. Perhaps as used HD's are never fully formatted or there may be remnants of Old OS files etc which may cause the corruption of Windows 10.

No Matter how you try to clean them you will never be able to get them to "Factory Level"

I formatted a 1Tb drive at least 10 times and then ran an Undelete program, it still recovered heaps of Data.

I have suspected this for some time and when my fears were confirmed, that is when I decided to purchase the new M2 HD. Maybe give it a go My friend, hope it works for you.Cheers

Do Not Bother with Microsoft's Repair and Recover.

The Recover is Ok but the repair does not work and does not repair your system if anything it may cause further unrecoverable damage to your OS and data.

Windows is trying its beta testing on end users without any concern about how they suffer.

Simple solution next time use apple instead.

    Windows sucks
