255% available (plugged in)

I had the same issue with 255% and computer turning itself instantly off. When checking a battery indicator it would also switch to charging % but will not show that battery is charging. Occasionally it will show No battery too . I checked battery connector on the laptop and one was bended causing a battery to be loose and not charging.. Once connector was corrected straight, the issue went away and laptop runs from a battery and charging with no issue.

I kept trying to resolve this issue assuming it was a software issue. However, when I had tried installing and reinstalling the OS, drivers, Lenovo Service bridge, Lenovo Vantage, etc., I thought that perhaps the problem lay elsewhere. I undid the cover and checked the battery cable, as suggested by some of the members in earlier posts. While my battery cable seemed well seated, however it appears that there was/is a loose contact somewhere. I have tried to fasten it using some insulation tape to keep it in place. So far, the fix seems to be working.

Step 1 : Remover the 9 phillips screws on the back of the laptop.

Step 2: Gently prise open the case with a very thin screwdriver or blade

Step 3: Gently check the cable connector from your battery to the motherboard. The connector is in the center of the laptop. See images attached for your reference.

Step 4: Try and secure the cable using some insulation tape so that it remains firmly in place with no loose contact.

Step 5: Carefully place the cover again and refasten the 9 screws. Make sure that you close the bottom lid completely and there are no gaps on the edges. Also do not overtighten the screws.

You should be good to go now.  Hope this helps.
