2020-04-28T22:10:41+00:00 Same issue here for the last two months with my Lenovo x201. At the same time (around February) two things happened: battery will only charge up to 98% and if I remove the charger it displays 255% available power.
Fortunately, I have a X201 without the Windows 10. If I insert the battery there it will read 100% charged and will have no trouble displaying that its connected to a charger once battery is removed.
Is this Microsoft trying to blow up my computer?

2020-05-04T18:05:28+00:00 Did you take your battery out?
Today, I bought a new battery for my ASUS laptop K501 and replaced it. The icon has been showing since then.
There is an instruction saying how to configure it (charging and discharging fully to optimize it and to make the gauge accurate).
