Your phone companion app error : "We can't connect to your phone"

I have been getting this message since the 3rd.  I have tried the sync troubleshooting steps but they have not worked.

I was finally able to fix this by going into the Shared experience settings in Windows 10

Click the start button and type Shared experiences and then open the setting. Toggle the On switch and see if that works. Even if the on switch is already on, toggle it off and then back on again and see if that fixes it. One thing to note is that you should probably only have My devices only in the dropdown menu.

    My issue was making sure that the Your Phone app was allowed to run in the background on my PC.

    Settings > Privacy > Background Apps > Make sure Your phone app is on

    I did make sure the phone app was on. My issue is , Your phone companion gets stuck at connecting at 90%

    I solved the problem by having both wi-fi and Bluetooth transmission protocols turned on, plus ensuring all the other steps. I don't know whether those two things have to be on, but that it was worked for me. Also, shutting off your computer, refreshing, restarting and doing the same thing with your phone can help a lot too.
