Indeed, I have found the same note that Microsoft announces that Books are no longer supported..

Why is Edge still trying to access this site?

A Billion dollar company that microsoft is can’t update their certificate? That’s weak. You’re right, it is our call. I’ll continue to allow my security provider to block that malicious url.

Hi Guys, is there nay solution to permanently stop access to this expired certificate? I get these blocked notifications daily. I am not very computer literate so the simpler the better or a step by step guide for dummies would be good.

    Thanks

Books is no longer supported and as such MS obviously won't update the certificate

This doesn't stop other software from referencing that site (Doesn't need to be Microsoft even though you're using edge)

but since Books is no longer supported, Bitdefender is correct in blocking it (IT IS NO LONGER SUPPORTED)

Now Microsoft has no power to stop other software from referencing this outdated and unsupported site so stop blaming Microsoft.

A more useful question is "why doesn't Bitdefender highlight the app or origin of the request to access the books site" then you can see where the request is coming from.
