Exactly my point! It's a MICROSOFT certificate that hasn't been UPDATED! It's still safe to allow it BECAUSE it's a Microsoft certificate!

Hello, I work at Microsoft.  I know there's an expired or invalid security certificate, so I'm going to watch your computer and then at the most inconvenient time, I'll take over your computer with the exposed .json file when you least expect it.

Now, doesn't that sound ridiculous?  Of course not, you're allowing an exception of an expired .json file to bypass a firewall block and expose your computer to the world of hackers.  If it's invalid, there's a reason!  Regardless of Microsoft, Google, or whatever it may be, you CAN'T TRUST expired certificates.  You're asking for trouble, smh :(

Allowing the certificate is a bypass not a solution.

Bitdefender blocks the connection because it is unsafe to allow a certificate that is not correct.

The problem is that Microsoft has not upgrade the certificate.

I have Bitdefender 2020 too and have experienced this notification in Bitdefender every time I use the EDGE browser in MSN.com .

I am not positively sure about this but I will venture out to say that sometime ago Microsoft announced it was no longer supporting Books (e-books I guess) in their app store and hence it is no longer updating that certificate. However, it seems that the Edge browser still tries to access this certificate thus the false positive. It's a nuissance.. I simply  ignore it but I will not whitelist it. I do not see any problems while browsing with EDGE. I do not get this notification in other browsers.

My antivirus keeps blocking:   markets.books.microsoft.com  saying it has an expired security certificate.  But I have never tried to  enter the site.  I have never heard of that site except for my antivirus's notification.  Thus I am very suspicious that this is some type of malware.
