No "Remove" button for Microsoft account in Windows 10 settings? SOLVED

Hi all,

I wanted to share this in case anyone else was having the same frustrating problem. I had a personal Microsoft account that I had mistakenly signed into on a work PC. To remove it, I followed the steps to go to Settings >> Email & Accounts, then select the account and click "Remove". Well, I got there, and there was no "Remove" button! Only a "Manage" button appeared.

The "Your info" page probably also looks like this

If you are having this problem, look for a text link on the "Your info" page that says something like "Stop signing in to all Microsoft apps automatically". Click on that text.

"Your info" should now say "Local Account" instead of your email

Go back to the "Email & accounts" page and you should now be able to remove the account

    Thanks, it works!

    Was just trying to add an Outlook.com account to Outlook when it added that login to Windows; couldn't figure out why there's no "Remove" button to get rid of it. Now, I'm only going to add accounts to Outlook using IMAP so I can avoid this stupidity.

    I had to go to the 'Access work or school' and disconnect it from there.  Then it was removed from the Accounts page.

    I finally found someone with a similar problem, but not even this helped me. My microsoft account is still tied to the administrator's local account. Also do not show the link "Stop signing in to all Microsoft apps automatically" or something similar in portuges.

    Try to go to Access work or school and select "Disconnect".

    I figured out what this was. I accidentally created an account after clicking a Mail To link and typing my gmail address. Microsoft ADDED MY COMPUTER to this account I just made. How annoying and invasive. I had to go into the account in Outlook and delete my machine from it. All this forcing of Microsoft accounts is annoying as hell. Was going to build another windows machine but may look at other OS's and find one thats less in my grill all day.
