Can't connect to the Minecraft world of my friend on PS4

So basically, since it is now possible to crossplay with PS4 and all other Bedrock platforms, my friend on PS4 got really excited, and wanted to try it out with me (I am on Windows 10 Edition). So he did what he was suppost to, created a microsoft account, linked it, added me as a friend, I accepted. All that went really well.

After he created a world that had multiplayer on, I could see him in the "Friends" tab, 1/8 players on the server. I tried to click it and join. It was loading for a bit. It said "Connecting to Multiplayer" or something like that, and after a while, "Can't connect to world".

Any help?

    if you are able to access your router at home. Select the device you are needing to do multiplayer on (that isnt working) and open port 4555 (UDP). I thought doing the computers time setting fixed it (but it stopped working next time i played) but once i opened that port for my laptop, it works fine (except the xbox connectivity app setting (or whatever its called) says it isnt working anymore (despite the fact that it does and it works even better. Before i could only see cross-platform games (and trying to connect wouldnt work) but now it also shows LAN games and cross platform games (with friends) and they connect.

    Hopefully that helps some people but if you dont have access to your router settings you wouldnt be able to change that. 

    On a side note that router setting was in the firewall section of the router.

    Im having that same issue and i cant go online and play with friends  it keeps saying my account wont let me but the settings are set to allow me going online.

    Same for me and my friend, I'm windows 10 edition while he's on ps4 trying to connect to my world. It says "can't connect to world". I can't believe this problem has lasted this long.

    Having the same problem for the past couple days. Was once in a world with a friend but now and then we get kiked out, so the friend restarts his internet and everything then it works but switches off after awhile again. We had longer games playin late at night. But now cant join them all together

    I play on Playstation and im trying to log into my Microsoft account so I can play with my friends on Xbox but it keeps telling me “We tried to sign you in to your Microsoft Account, but something went wrong.” What do i need to do to fix this problem!?
