Can't connect to the Minecraft world of my friend on PS4

So basically, since it is now possible to crossplay with PS4 and all other Bedrock platforms, my friend on PS4 got really excited, and wanted to try it out with me (I am on Windows 10 Edition). So he did what he was suppost to, created a microsoft account, linked it, added me as a friend, I accepted. All that went really well.

After he created a world that had multiplayer on, I could see him in the "Friends" tab, 1/8 players on the server. I tried to click it and join. It was loading for a bit. It said "Connecting to Multiplayer" or something like that, and after a while, "Can't connect to world".

Any help?

    They can look into this from their end. Make sure you include as much information as possible.

    I figured out the server or firends world need to be updated, I connected to the same server on my phone and it said outdated server. I host my own server so I updated it and it worked just fine

    I am having this exact problem and its frustrating idk what to do

    Do you have internett cable connected to the ps4 because that is what i needed to do. The season was that my internett was to slow so it might be the same for you or else I would try to restart the whole ps4 and try again. Hope this helps you

    If you are playing on a server then the server needs to be updated and if you connect to a friend's world make sure the updated their Minecraft
