Can't connect to the Minecraft world of my friend on PS4

So basically, since it is now possible to crossplay with PS4 and all other Bedrock platforms, my friend on PS4 got really excited, and wanted to try it out with me (I am on Windows 10 Edition). So he did what he was suppost to, created a microsoft account, linked it, added me as a friend, I accepted. All that went really well.

After he created a world that had multiplayer on, I could see him in the "Friends" tab, 1/8 players on the server. I tried to click it and join. It was loading for a bit. It said "Connecting to Multiplayer" or something like that, and after a while, "Can't connect to world".

Any help?

    This is **** microsoft. Get your **** together. You took over minecraft, and attempted to make it better only to screw it up. I havent seen any microsoft rep HELP any of these people who have been complaining about this MASSIVE issue for months now. This is ridiculous, and extremely disappointing. IT ISNT OUR INTERNET, IT ISNT OUR NAT TYPE, ITS YOUR GOD DAMN PROBLEM WITH YOUR GAME.

    FIX THE UNABLE TO JOIN A WORLD ISSUE THAT WEVE ALL WAITED LONG ENOUGH FOR. 

    We are all sick and tired of not being able to play with our friends because you pushed cross plat play when it wasnt ready. Everything is laggy, everything takes forever to load, game crashes/freezes. Friends cant join worlds they literally just played on the day prior. Fix it.

    Is anybody still having this problem where you cant join your freinds on ps4? And when you try it always says unable to connect to world?

    Its still not working for me. I can join other psn friends but my other friend on playstation cant join me

    I can confirm that the error is the same (unable to join world) for both the Xbox and the PS4 user. It doesn't seem to matter which cross-platform player is trying to join a world. The NAT Type on my PS4 network is Type 2, just in case that matters. As always, any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
