Can't connect to the Minecraft world of my friend on PS4

So basically, since it is now possible to crossplay with PS4 and all other Bedrock platforms, my friend on PS4 got really excited, and wanted to try it out with me (I am on Windows 10 Edition). So he did what he was suppost to, created a microsoft account, linked it, added me as a friend, I accepted. All that went really well.

After he created a world that had multiplayer on, I could see him in the "Friends" tab, 1/8 players on the server. I tried to click it and join. It was loading for a bit. It said "Connecting to Multiplayer" or something like that, and after a while, "Can't connect to world".

Any help?

    Bro i think i found a fix. If signing out of your Microsoft account then logging back in doesn't work then try this. This worked for me bro. Ok create a party on your ps4 then invite the person that u want to play minecraft with, u can invite others if u want. Ok next u activate share play and tell the person u want to play minecraft with to join the share play next u should log into minecraft automatically and now u can play with your friends.     Im having that same issue and i cant go online and play with friends  it keeps saying my account wont let me but the settings are set to allow me going online.

    This might sound rediculous but I just finished researching this stupid problem for hours. What i had to do was make sure that my computer (which was one of the devices trying to connect) had "automatically set time" selected in windows. I have no idea why thats an issue but once I had the computer set to automatically detect time (in the date/time settings) it worked immediately after.

    Worth a shot. 

    For informations sake, i was trying to connect a gaming laptop to a PS4 hosted game (using LAN and cross-platform). Neither could connect to each other no matter who was hosting the game until i set the stupid automatic date/time to on (in windows 10).

    Hopefully this helps some people

    If you are playing on a server then the server needs to be updated and if you connect to a friend's world make sure the updated their Minecraft
