BUG in feature update to windows 10 version 1909 via enablement package (KB4517245)

So far the fix for 2 of my co-workers machine was to rebuild the index. It's only been a few days but they haven't told me its broke again.

Control Panel

View Small or Large icons to see the entire list.

Indexing Options

Click Advanced

Click Rebuild.

Click Ok

Click close on the indexing window once the rebuild is complete.

we don't understand this from the very first sentence. What control panel do you speak? somewhere with file explorer or back within windows OS? We can't follow any of this as 'indexing option' where is this? Rebuild...where is this? have let several people look at this and they couldn't help either.

You can find the Control Panel by hitting Start and typing "Control Panel" (without the quotes.) Click on the Control Panel result to open it. Then follow the rest of the above instructions. You can either rebuild the indexes or modify them to ensure they don't contain invalid entries, as described here. Remember to reboot the PC once either the rebuild or the modification (whichever you choose) is complete.

For me to install Windows all over again is crazy, it would take months to set everything up and tune everything to the way I want it to be.

I prefer to continue with the 1903 version...

I completely agree with you stevecramer2.

Windows is releasing too many versions in a short time. In my opinion, version updates should take even longer than a year to be released. Updates should always aim to better serve the safety and the stability of the system in the first place. 

For now, I've reverted to version 1903 still working perfectly, I'll wait for an appropriate version of windows instead of using this alpha or beta.

Do not revert to the previous version that way.

Do it this way:

1 - Install everything, including the 1909 version and all its updates.

2 - Go to the windows program uninstaller.

3 - (On the left side) Select to view installed updates the window will become uninstall an update.

4 - Select and uninstall the following update: feature update to windows 10 version 1909 via enablement package (KB4517245) (Uninstall only this update)

Important notes:

1 - I'm not using version 1909 so the name of the update to uninstall may be slightly different...

2 - English is not my first language, so the tips I'm giving you may have slightly different names on your windows, since my windows is not in English...

They perhaps saw it as a feature (just to show history) and it needs to be reported using the Feedback Hub so others can up vote it. Personally it doesn't bother me I would have never considered using right click paste anyway.
