BUG in feature update to windows 10 version 1909 via enablement package (KB4517245)

I have the same problem with this update along with the other two updates n 2/7/2020.

The Windows Explorer will take forever to do anything when I open up it. I have to use the Task Manager to RESTART it. Then my systems starts get into memory leak and I am not able to open up any WORD document --- all of the graphics disappears and I am not able to even open up TEXT FILES.

I have been having issues with WINDOWS 10 PRO since I got this laptop when WORD is open and I have a large file, it says I am not able to save because it is out of memory. But I have 16 GB RAM and it shows I have enough memory. What I am thinking Word has it's own memory space and it there is NO MALLOC to recover the memory cache. Very poor design on Windows. But it happened less often, but with this update it was worst. I did not even have to open any WORD document, I get the memory leak and the GRAPHICS disappears.  I HATE WINDOW 10 - very poor and NOT a Multi-Tasking Operating system at all. 

I also notice when I copy things to an external disk and I if I have done a lot of it. I get memory leaks again. There are major bugs with the Windows Explorer for sure. 

Doesn't anyone test this at all before it is released? For the last 19 years I worked in Software QA Engineering for CyberSecurity, Cloud and other enterprise software and we have extensive performance testing for stress and users.

I really do not like to be forced to do updates on dangerous bug updates, I no longer have a choice. I will now block all updates for now on. But I least I have the driver are up to date.

I wish I had Windows 7 still and Windows XP were the most stable.

When I first went to Win 10 I could not find the 'Control Panel' either, but learned a way. Click on Start Button then just start typing Control Panel, before you get done typing you will a best match at top left of the pop up or in the tip right an icon of 'Control Panel' . Click on either and the Control Panel will open up. Somehow I saved it to my desktop as an Icon and now just access it from there. Once you have the Control Panel open you then need to look for the 'view by: dropdown menu, mine has Category, just click there and pick large or small icons to find Indexing Options.

Do not revert to the previous version that way.

Do it this way:

1 - Install everything, including the 1909 version and all its updates.

2 - Go to the windows program uninstaller.

3 - (On the left side) Select to view installed updates the window will become uninstall an update.

4 - Select and uninstall the following update: feature update to windows 10 version 1909 via enablement package (KB4517245) (Uninstall only this update)

Important notes:

1 - I'm not using version 1909 so the name of the update to uninstall may be slightly different...

2 - English is not my first language, so the tips I'm giving you may have slightly different names on your windows, since my windows is not in English...

I was having the same problem when I was using the update (KB4517245), when I clicked in the search box, I had to wait for a abnormally large amount of time before the search box unfreeze and the cursor appeared, the right click never worked for me, not even a single time when I was using the 1909 build 18363.476… However, after uninstalling that update (if you can call it that) and start using again the 1903 build 18362.476 everything is fine again.

Also, with this new update the user needs to press enter or click in the arrow to start the search, this is a new futile and extra work for no reason, before this update the search was automatic, and started as soon as the user stopped writing.

I want to update windows to the latest version but foremost I need a working and functional Windows.

Yes with all these issues. I'll assume windows support people will not have any fixes and yes, go back to 1903 or fresh install of either 1903 or try 1909 again may be only fix. A work around for this file explorer problem may be not as important to me personally as it might of been a couple of years ago. But I'll try to minimize this and will not let this get to me as absolutely nothing created by humans is every perfect...sometimes just workable is the best you can hope for. Note: currently have 12 Window10 systems I care for and this type of stuff is still maddening.

I have no other fixes for this problem except to reinstall windows.
