Ever since I updated to Windows 10 1909 the Search Box in the File Explorer is completely unuseable. It shows a text cursor but I cannot click inside the box or type any text into it. Essentially it's a text box with no "wiring".
Any ideas how to resolve this issue? I'm having to resort to using a third-party search app just to find files in my projects.
Kind regards
Byron

Using Explorer++ you have to click twice until you have what you want, and that sucks.
Can anyone confirm in v1903 works fine to replace explorer.exe v1909(449) with that version ?
L.E.: Done that, the same thing! It's from something else.
I don't understand why these kind of bugs are not fixed immediately. It's been 5 years since first release of Windows 10 and it is not stable at all. Updates are imposed but not tested as they should... I think Windows 7 is still way better for Professional and Business use. There are several choices made from Win 8 and next versions which makes me think how someone can even think them. Ex. why replacing Windows Image Viewer with this 'Photos' ****.... At least start menu have been fixed after 4 years so you can remove an entire group of pinned apps without removing each one of theme (this makes me think: do people in Microsoft use a Windows pc in their daily life? because these problems seems really dumb for such a big enterprise and leader in operating systems). Anyway everyone has to use Windows so we have to cohabit with its problems...
Neither the Clear File Explorer History button does not work.
Hmm.. they are working "hard"
