Omg are you for real ? Do you need glasses ? " search working again in EXPLORER" .. edge is linked to almost EVERYTHING in windows 10 … please restrain yourself from replying just to reply … or try the psn forums or something.....
The culprit for search in EXPLORER , you little noob, is EDGE .. … if EDGE is your DEFAULT BROWSER, even on reboot, edge starts up instantly in the background... if you REMOVE EDGE as DEFAULT BROWSER, it DOESN'T …
Did you get it this time ? Do I need to be more specific ?
/sigh
Okay, if you're calmed down now, please explain to me what I'm not understanding. Because this is a user forum (not a developer forum, IT support, or something in-between).
- The thread is for (from the OP) problems with the "Search Box in the File Explorer". Personally, I didn't know that Edge was related to that and I'll be a lot of the rest of us didn't, if that's actually the case. But tell us, the common user, why it is we should be aware of that to come to this forum?
- Edge is not (and never has been) my default browser. I use Chrome. And yet, I experience the issue with the "Search Box in the File Explorer".
- "Microsoft Edge" is not listed in my task manager. If you (with your oh-so-great superior knowledge) can tell me that it is still running, and still affecting my "Search Box in the File Explorer", please let me (and the rest of us) know how to keep that from happening.
So if you don't want to help me, the "little noob" (despite my 30 years of experience in Redmond), please offer some guidance to those of the rest of us that do not use Edge as the default browser could still experience the bad behavior of the "Search Box in the File Explorer".
Thanks much!
