A suspicion arises: how many of those who are having this bug are using Google Backup and Sync?
Not me, I don’t touch Google except as a last-resort search and for some translations. I’ve nothing of theirs on any of my PCs.

Ever since I updated to Windows 10 1909 the Search Box in the File Explorer is completely unuseable. It shows a text cursor but I cannot click inside the box or type any text into it. Essentially it's a text box with no "wiring".
Any ideas how to resolve this issue? I'm having to resort to using a third-party search app just to find files in my projects.
Kind regards
Byron

As suggested earlier, when Windows 10 search in explorer 1909 does not work (i.e. nothing can be typed into the search box), restart Windows Explorer in the task manager.
Windows 10 updates - usually I wait a week or so before updating so that bugs can be fixed. Obviously this did't work in whichever update that trashed Wiindows Explorer.
Hi
In fact I found the problem , If I use CTRL F for going to search box and CTRL V (paste), explorer does not work properly...
but If I put the curser and wrote what I want to search > no problem
this is slow my work....
Thanks, I've figured it out now ;)
However, I confirm that the problem persists even with the latest 1909 December cumulative update.
