File Explorer search not working in Windows 10 1909

Ever since I updated to Windows 10 1909 the Search Box in the File Explorer is completely unuseable. It shows a text cursor but I cannot click inside the box or type any text into it. Essentially it's a text box with no "wiring".

Any ideas how to resolve this issue? I'm having to resort to using a third-party search app just to find files in my projects.

Kind regards

Byron

Seems MS have released a hotfix for this on a new KB update since 28th Jan.

Actually they screw'd thigns up even more with this update!

I loaded it and when was trying to install it, PC has gone Blue Screen with error "UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION". And I lost all my unsaved work, which had had plenty of.

This is a real talent of MS: not only not to fix, but to make things even worse! Way to go, MS! :-(

Same issue here - doesn't make finding Scanners and Cameras any easier!
