File Explorer search not working in Windows 10 1909

Ever since I updated to Windows 10 1909 the Search Box in the File Explorer is completely unuseable. It shows a text cursor but I cannot click inside the box or type any text into it. Essentially it's a text box with no "wiring". 

Any ideas how to resolve this issue? I'm having to resort to using a third-party search app just to find files in my projects.

    Just another "Me too".   Task-Manager --> Restart "Windows Explorer"  --> Search working again.   But I know it won't last for long ... most likely will have to do this 2-4 times a day.    Plus I now have to hit "Enter" to get the search results.  I don't get the results while typing in the search bar.  

    MICROSOFT -- PLEASE FIX THIS !!!

    For 2 Years I was avoiding to Install windows 10 - because it sucks in almost everything  - And I was right because I smell some conspiracy within.

    If restarting Windows File Explorer has no effect so you have more problems than the users in this topic. 

    Restarting Windows File Explorer should solve the problem....just for a moment.

    All windows versions of all time sucks. Always new problems with new versions or release.

    It's out of the subject but if you can't afford it and wan't to live in peace change to macos.

    If not you will cry all your life... that's a fact.

    We are waiting for microsoft to solve this problem on next update. And of course add new problems to bother us.
