Screensaver is not working after Windows update to 1903.

I have tried setting DISPLAY, SCREEN and all the other settings to enable the screensaver to come on at the set time but nothing happens? I have to close the lid when I leave my laptop alone for awhile

    So after the 1909 update, I found that my Sony NEX camera, when left plugged in to charge (via a powered USB Hub), was preventing the suspension. Disconnected the Hub first, resolved the issue, then going through each peripheral yielded the camera as the culprit. Perhaps review your connected USB devices and/or disable the USB controller.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks, I only have a KB and Mouse connected, nothing else.

    I 100% agree with this - My screensaver will never work when my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick is connected to the PC (and has even caused driver crashes and general instability in the past).

    Disconnect it - and PRESTO - Screensaver works and Win 10 is more stable...

    It seems to be something to do with the Logitech app in this case constantly polling the joystick for it's current position/status.

    Probably wouldn't happen with a stick that has active signal feed rather than positional polling. (guessing here)... (read HIGH END STICKS - lol)

    I have even seen someone claim their mouse was causing this before - changed mice and it worked again. (repeated changes with original and different mice to prove it too).

    Just start by disconnecting one device at a time, set screensaver timer to 1 min, restart PC, test, and repeat with each device.

    If that doesn't work - do you use any 'Virtual Devices' particular to programs you use?

    If so - disable that program and virtual device. - Rinse and repeat!

    Many different apps and programs could potentially cause this, apps with overlays especially (Discord, Nvidia Geforce Experience, Mumble, Radeon Software, Hardware monitors, etc (the list goes on)...

    Disable an app in your taskbar and test, try another...  If none of that works...  *shrug*

    I can confirm bug with MS joystick.

    Failure Description: Screen timout and Energy options not reliably (or at all) working.

    System: Win 10 1903 (18362.778)

    Device: MS Joystick Sidwinder Precision Pro

    Interface: MS Gamport-to-USB adapter connected on USB-Hub

    After unplugging of joystick and system reboot Screen timout and Energy options work again.

    Mine is the VKB-Sim_Gladiator_MkII Joystick. As long as I unplug it, everything works fine.  It isn't specific to the MS joystick.  I think this is a MS usb driver issue.
