Gaathan, there is no guarantee that doing a system reset and reinstalling Windows 10 Version 1903 will correct this problem. A lot of people may go through this unnecessary procedure with no benefit.

I upgraded to windows 10 version 1903 a few weeks ago. Shortly afterwards I noticed that my fans were running extremely fast and my CPU temps per core were running in the mid 50s C at system idle. Previously they were running in the mid to high 30s C. Task Manager shows my CPU usage at 100%. I get things back to normal if I disable the Power service, but as soon as I enable it again, my fans begin to race and the temps go up. My system uses an ASRock motherboard with an Intel i7-8700k and an 8500 watt power supply. I use the Balanced power setting profile. Diagnostics for Power doesn't pick up anything and I can't find anything with Google for anyone with a similar problem. I had a similar issue a couple of years back, but it was caused by me using the High Performance power profile. Once I changed to the Balanced profile the problem disappeared. This time, the problem is occurring with the Balanced power setting. Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be appreciated.

However, it did nothing good, the issue persists. It's better to wait for a patch instead of doing a reset and see nothing changed.
Hey there The SETJ, it took you 2 days to reinstall all your software, etc. WOW sorry to hear that - what are you using as your hard drive(s) SSD, or HDD's most computers bought within the last year or 2 are using the faster trouble free SSD's. They are so much easier to work with and so much faster. There is nothing wrong with HDD drives but they are pretty slow in today's technological world.
Wait for Microsoft to have a patch for all these issues and in the meantime you can always go into your Task Manager to see what processes are running - there are many tabs in this program - Processes, Performance, App history, Startup, Users, Details and Services. It will default to the first tab - Processes, this section shows a percentage of your CPU usage. You can always right click on a program and end the task - just be aware of and make sure you know that program you are about to end.
Now the other tab I would look at is Startup - this will show you all the programs that start up when you turn on your computer - many of them are not necessary to start up and are using resources that will slow your performance

2019-08-24T13:45:14+00:00 trust me, most agents do not even now what they are talking about and the always call for the hardware problem or the reset. The only solution i found was going back to windows 1809, i never reset my pc, because i was sure it would not have fixed it. The only thing to do is writing about this and waiting for a patch.
Fun facts
one of the agents i spoke to continued to say that the problem was due to me overclocking my processor. Well my processor is a core i7 8565u and it is in a laptop and there is no way to overclock! And after telling this to her she still wouldn't listen and so said that the fault was due to turbo boost and that i should ask to one i know who is keen on tecnology (because for her i am not) to solve the problem. With many of the agents i spoke to i nearly had to explain them how a pc worked, only 2 out of 10 were prepared and made a report to ms.

2019-08-24T00:20:14+00:00 Hello Everyone posting on this thread. I would not reset my PC for such a minor issue as this fan and CPU racing. If you reset your PC, you have to re-install all of your software as well as documents, music, pictures, emails, etc. This is a minor issue we are all dealing with. Microsoft will introduce a fix when it is available. You can let the system be if the fan noise doesn't bother you or you can disable the power service through services.msc. I advise against resetting you PC unless you really know what you are doing and you have all your software to reinstall as well as all your personal files like documents,.pictures, music, emails, etc. I will post here as soon as I know a fix is available.
In response to Richards thread - This is not a minor issue - Fan speeds increasing 30% or more are an issue on those running an older system - GPU,s and CPU,s that are running 20 to 30 degrees higher are not good - My Suggestion is what I posted prior it does fix the issue and yes you will need to reinstall your software and you need to backup the program installers - this does not take that much time. Since we do not know when the update will come I prefer to resolve what I can to insure My PC's are running properly.
I am not saying this is for everyone - I was only responding to those that sent me an email on what I did
