Windows Key+X > Windows Powershell (Admin)

Type following (or copy and paste following) one by one and Enter

net stop wuauserv

net stop cryptSvc

net stop bits

net stop msiserver

Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

Ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old

net start wuauserv

net start cryptSvc

net start bits

net start msiserver

Please report back me the results so that I can advise further steps if your problem is not solved.

Hi not sure if you have your issue fixed yet but here is what you will want to do!!

Windows Key+R > Type services.msc and press Enter > Locate Background Intelligence transfer and ensure it is set to Start and Automatic. Also do the same for Windows Update service as well

If they are already set to start, stop them, start and Automatic and restart your computer.

When you click on these you will want to right click and then click on "properties" and change everything in there. I would also take them off of delayed start and put them on automatic, that's what I had to do to get mine to work right. I'm not sure if the delay start is affecting the "BITS" I have five machines and they all run different. Hope this helps, good luck!

I know how something so simple can be so frustrating, never had the trouble running XP, 98 or windows 7 but windows 10 is a joke when you have to spend more time trying to get it to work right than getting any production done!!
