    Hi Ghritak

    1

    Check Disk:

Press the Shift Key and click Restart

Your PC will boot into the Windows Recovery Environment

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Options - Command Prompt

Run this command and hit Enter:

    chkdsk C: /f

When that command completes, run this command and hit Enter:

    chkdsk C: /r

That command will take time to complete, when it does, restart back into Windows 10 normally

    2

    System Check

Click your Start Button, then just type cmd

From the resulting list, right click Command Prompt and choose 'Run as Administrator'

Run this command sand hit Enter:

    sfc /scannow

When that command completes, run this command and hit Enter:

    dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

Wait for that command to complete (will take a while) and close Command Prompt

If you get any errors from any of those commands, please provide the exact error you see . . .

    Hi Ghritak

Please explain more on this, what is the initial problem you are having on your PC that is causing you to scan your PC

Those commands have different purposes . ..

sfc /scannow will scan your Windows System files for errors and if those are found, you should run this command:

    dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

chkdsk will only scan your hard drive for errors

So the choice of command you choose to run should be dependent on the type of problem you are encountering

*Failed to transfer logged message to the event log with status 50

    *Warning F parameter not specified

*There is a system repair pending which requires reboot to complete. Restart windows and run sfc again

    • Do you receive any message after you execute the commands and they fail?
    • Have you tried running those commands in Safe Mode?
