Repeated crashes due to Netwtw06.sys failure

My ASUS laptop downloaded and installed the latest Windows 10 updates (on August 31) after which my laptop crashes within 5-10 minutes of use. The stop code error message I get is PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. What failed: Netwtw06.sys.

I collected my system information and DMP files here:

Log files from system crash

Can anyone help me?

Hi,

NOTE : ALL with needing to update Netwtw06.sys should be sure to end up with version or later 21.80.2 (Avoid version 21.70.0 which can cause BSOD issues). The method below is the way to update to the latest version of Netwtw06.sys.

BugCheck 50, {ffffc8d37d50d700, 2, fffff8077cef27f3, 2}

Probably caused by : Netwtw06.sys ( Netwtw06+2f27f3 )

Netwtw06.sys is the Intel WiFi driver so first try updating that.

This is the manual methods I recommend for updating drivers.

This utility makes it easy to see which versions are loaded : Run DriverView - set VIEW to Hide  Microsoft drivers - update those without Dump in their names. (Also update the BIOS and low level chipset drivers at the your System/Motherboard maker's site.)

DriverView - Free - utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded

on your system. For each driver in the list, additional useful information is

displayed: load address of the driver, description, version, product name,

company that created the driver, and more.

    http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/driverview.html

For Drivers check System Maker as fallbacks and Device Maker's which are the most current. Right Click the Start Button - Device Manager - Display Adapter - write down the make and

complete model of your video adapter - double click - Driver's tab - write down the version info. Now click Update Driver (this may not do anything as MS is far behind certifying drivers) - then Right Click - Uninstall - REBOOT this will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat that for Network - Network Card (NIC), Wifi, Sound, Mouse and Keyboard if 3rd party with their own software and drivers and any other major device drivers you have.

Now go to System Maker's site (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (as rollback) and then Device Maker's site (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI as examples) and get their latest versions. (Look for BIOS, Chipset, and software updates at System Maker's site while there.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - Right Click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in Device Manager - Drivers tab to be sure the version you are installing actually shows up. This is because some drivers rollback before the latest is installed (sound drivers particularly do this) so install a driver - reboot - check to be sure it is installed and repeat as needed.

Repeat at Device Makers - BTW at Device Makers DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER - check manually by model.

Manually look at manufacturer's sites for drivers - and Device Maker's sites.

    Hope this helps.

Rob, thanks for the info. Following advice from you and MrsDan1667 I found the Intel WiFi driver and was able to download and install using the references.  All appears well for now.

I was wondering why Windows Update did not find that my Driver was out of date.  And that makes me wonder what other drivers are out of date.  Do you have thoughts about how to verify that all my drivers are the latest or at least what MS thinks they should be.  I let Windows automatically perform updates, but based on my issue with the Intel WiFi driver and the same for MrsDan1667 and probably others, I am suspicious.

    Thanks,

    CMACALA

driver version 20.70.16.4 is the most recent version for Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265

next id try youtube or the most recent posts around the net:

and my understanding is that AMD64 is a graphics driver. The Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 is the WiFi driver. If I understand correctly that is (again, just found all my fixes out of frustration and google/youtube)

also found this which seems to hit all 3 of your issues so maybe give it a read and see what you think:

Thanks but I've tried all of this. Nothing works!
