I noticed upon checking my Event Log Applications and my Reliability Monitor I have been getting this critical error about every 2 to 3 days now on my HP Omen i7 -16 GB Mem - Nvidia GEForce GTX 1070 on Win10 Home 64 bit and this did not start happening until I updated to v1903 on May 30^th^ . My build is 18362.239. Could someone please advise me as how to resolve this or MS deploy a fix for this. It appears I am not the only one getting these. I have reported this through the Feedback Hub. I have run all three DISMs, SFC, Malwarebytes, Norton and I turned on Windows Defender long enough for a quick scan and no problems seen. It appears this is a scheduled task that keeps failing instead of running to completion.

ok found the errors and they began 12 June and I think I had the first host error 13 june. Have created the folder and await what happens. Even though someone else states inhere that that didn't work. About PM's: that requires I write some personal information in here. Is that wise?

No, not wise to post personal info here - I did find someone I thought was you on FB and PMed them but that is probably not you as I've had no reply. At least the ESENT errors will stop - I'm afraid that it's guilt-by-association but it's worth a go. EatableFever2 does suggest that this isn't the cause of the Host errors - but DonT5 sorted his compo out with exactly the same method we used and it didn't solve ours. It's worth a go, anyway. Now we just have to wait 5 days!!

Thanks for the info. This may all be a ghastly coincidence but it's worth having a go with it. Even the ESENT errors may be a result of the root cause which we haven't found yet but very intriguing that changes to the folders occurred at the time of the repairs. My repairs didn't do them and I had to add them manually!

Did you correct the Windows Defender errors as well? Would you explain what the Setupcleanuptask is, please? What initiates it, what files are associated with it - in short, where is it? Thanks.
So, something else we can try.
The more I am looking around at this problem, the more I am finding people who have found the solution by doing something different than we have - so there may be multiple causes that need addressing depending on how the error/corruption has occurred.
A few people are suggesting that the problem is with .Net Framework (which can't be uninstalled). Some have found this to be a solution, though:
In the search window, begin to type 'Turn Windows Features On or Off' and then select it.
Uncheck .Net framework 4.8 Advanced Services and allow the computer to make the changes.
Reboot. Recheck the item.
It's just a switch off and on again but - what the heck? - it's worth a go.
btw, two days free of Host errors so far - but that proves nowt at the moment.

I recovered from this problem by manually cleanup previous version of Windows files.
Open Settings.
Click on System.
Click on Storage.
Under the "Storage" section, click the Configure Storage Sense or run it now option.
Under the "Free up space now" section, check the Delete previous version of Windows option.
Click the Clean now button.
I was successful with this solution. After the error occurred every 1 or 2 days before, it has now disappeared for 12 days!
