Windows 10 Stuttering with new update

I gave it another try updating my laptop to 1903 since it’s not reliable for anything, with complete up to date update.  Surprisingly it stable after I did the same procedure like I did on 1809 but not without windows itself struggling to gain stability.

By that I mean after update and disable most background functions, here is what I discovered..

1. After enabling auto update for defenders security and Adge extension, found Adge browser perfectly works on YouTube but MS App store won’t work corrupted and need to be updated

2. If I disabled touch pad by Fkey and glide my fingers on the pad, LatencyMon shows Synaptics driver spike more than 2 milliseconds .  CPU now a day can do over 2 million instructions/second, 2000μs latency****Imagine put a little tricycle ride by President Trump on German Autobahn.  Best is to have it active and don’t touch the pad.
3. Then all of the sudden for no reason my laptop started to lag, things getting slow take 10 times longer to response and shows sign of grinding down to a halt.  Took few more boots with each time CPU and disk usage spike up as if it tried so hard to search or copy files. Then 3rd boot’s the charm.

5. Disable SysMain in Service from high Disk usage;

Now, my next objective is to enable each function at a time to see where is my laptop limitation of taking a nonsense backgrounds.  Then on to  19H2 build in October.  My laptop demands 35-40% CPU most of the time, it so easy not to activate junk processors if PC is in heavy used.  Don’t understand why Microsoft thinks what they snoop on us is more important than user lose productivity.

Maybe $25 million/year CEO pay not to mention perks and compensation should buy us a new hardware since his developer division loves to first blame it on hardware and 3rd party.  Or maybe Satya Nadella never knew this problem has been around for almost a decade because MD never told Executive VP, or EVP never brought it up to the board.  Or after all, no one at Microsoft is reading this at all.

Found what seems to be a culprit that making my laptop randomly lag and stuttering.  But first.. I’m taking the word “Stable” back, and thinking of donating my laptop to Goodwill or Salvation.

1. After a week of performing flawlessly without nonsense backgrounds,  I reboot and brought up Adge for Youtube then.. Whammy!  system grinding down to a halt again.  Probably still doesn’t know how to handle YouTube’s Polymer, "Shadow Document Object Model (DOM)" version-zero API.
2. Then video started to lag, stutters and recovered.  Side by side Task Manager and PotPlayer, every time when video lag Task Manager shows one of those services shadow copy with random number postfix spike up CPU and eat my system alive.  When I caught it red handed, it was WpnUserService, along with 8,000 other users.  https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/servicewpnuserservice-4094c-causes-high-cpu-load/eff83d6b-facf-447c-98f2-2a25f350d900

And when I RegEdit my registry, found more than 15 services with the same rendom postfix.

I’m not going to blame Microsoft on this because I don’t know what those shadow copies do and what they’re for.  But one thing I know for sure.. I’M TIRED OF CHASING MICROSOFT GHOST.

Chasing after Ghosts to find out which one is dropping the crumb, most logical thing to do is to run slow behind the ghost.  Let me ask Microsoft’s managing director one last question.  How many QA stations are you assign to run on Celeron with 4gb of ram and 5400Rpm drive or eMMC? If the answer is 0(zero)...  :(

Notable; Core i7 not everybody has and if you’re going to run in front of the ghost.. What’s the point of doing QA?

I went so far of installing 19H2 preview from the fast ring without any 3rd party softwares, and early 20H1 which they claimed that it still in an unstable stage.   As usual, both stutters and grinding down the system to a halt.

Sorry Microsoft, I have to totally denied your background access to my enjoyment by killing your RunTime Broker.  With a little Sacrifice on something which for this low end entertainment system.. I much less care.

Update - 20191010

After TimeBroker service has been put down with video is constantly running.  24 hours later all backgrounds still as dead as a doorknob, and not even one spasm.  That’s an absolute proof that whatever is dropping the crumbs, is coming from windows pre-installed.

What puzzle me and I can understand is that “Search” function won’t work since TimeBroker did not return a permission valued.  What I don’t understand is that, if I can’t type anything into input textbox, why do they allow me to paste then search results shows up.   Shouldn’t it be the other way around? by allow users to search then filter in the SQL all results that doesn’t have permission.  As well as not to activate function called.  :/

Only if I have their source code and debugger, this mystery ghost would have been found decade ago.  Because one thing that I have and Microsoft doesn’t have... the machine that I can reproduce the BUG.  I signed in, so you know where to get me.

Apparently Microsoft moved from testing on actual hardware to virtual machines (look for Barnacules' channel on Youtube, there's a video or two about it). It's not unexpected that these problems happen because VMs have most hardware abstracted.

Yeah Perigele, I wish NASA let me fly one of their birds to the Jupiter because I can fly VM $150 flight simulators.  1 billion Windows out there and est. 400 millions active, I would think they can make a better decision of how to QA their development.  VM never gonna gives you touch and feel like a real thing.

Btw, I’ve found something interesting that not just mitigate the issue, I totally stabilize my system. To publish my findings of what causes the lag and stuttering, let me duplicate a few more times.  A week maybe..
