Bluetooth Headset cannot be used as both headphones and speakers

I have a bluetooth headset that does not allow me to use it as both a microphone and a headset.

I have determined that audio will play through the Bluetooth headset as long as the recording device is set to Conexant ISST Audio.  If I set the recording device to BHS-530 Hands-Free then no sound will play through either BHS-530 Playback device.

I can get audio to play while the BHS-530 Handsfree is setup as the Recording device but not while it is actively listening.  As an example my BHS-530 Stereo is selected for both my default audio and default communication device.  I start playing a YouTube video and audio works with the Playback menu is up in the Sound dialog (first screenshot), as soon as I select the recording menu (second screenshot) the audio stops.  If I switch the recording device back to Conexant ISST Audio the youtube video will continue to send sound regardless of which menu I am on.

What do I need to set so that I can use the headset for both audio and microphone (Microsoft Teams Calls)

The headset comes up as two separate devices once it connects to windows:

Playback Device

Type: Headset

Name: BHS-530 Hands-Free

and

Type: Headphones

Name: BHS-530 Stereo

Recording Device

Type: Headset

Name: BHS-530 Hands-Free

Type: Internal Microphone

Name: Conexant ISST Audio

(this is my laptop's internal mic)

    Hi, I explain how I've half fixed it.

    1.- Go sound control panel and right click into properties of all sound devices you have in your computer then advanced properties then un-check "Allow aplications the exclusive control of this device"

    2.- Be sure all the sound devices both in playback and record layers which you don't normally use are in "disabled"

    3.- Once all devices got "unexclusived" and not used are in "disabled", go record devices layer and disable the headset mic too.

    Then you will have active and working headset and headset mic both in playback layer at sound control panel.

    It's been almost 6 months blaming SONY and my bluetooth dongle but finally I can play games normally, use skype and Voice Attack perfectly.

    Note I said half fixed because in my case I must re-setup after playing Rocksmith due to the needed activation of the disabled guitar cable input.

    Its really frustrating that Mic&Audio wont work together with a headset. Ive tried everything already. With multiple headsets and nothing works with W10

    I saw this issue in many game forums and here on Microsoft page, so it is important for a big range of users.

    How can we make something to happen? I mean it is a software issue I think.

    I am using our workaround too! 

    They are expensive the other headsets!

    Yes. It seems it is hardware related. The only true wireless devices for VoIP calls on the PC are very specific and expensive (Jabra, Logitech, Sennheiser...).

    I ended up using the same configuration you mentioned. Sometimes I connect a basic headphones with mic to the jack3.5 to route only the mic and avoid background noise (as the laptop mic is more sensitive).
