After win 10 update, sticky notes now uses a separate taskbar tab for each note. Before update, all notes were in one tab.

***Title Modified Original: sticky notes***

Just found this thread which describes exactly what Microsoft broke after the update I just applied. I have many sticky notes too, and now they take up my entire task bar. Combining taskbar buttons (Microsoft's proposed solution) is not a reasonable solution

    • I like them separate for my other windows.

There is no reason every sticky note should be considered a separate window - please just put it back the way it was where there was ONLY ONE BUTTON on the taskbar, no matter how many notes you had. It is not usable with this new broken behavior, and if it's not fixed, I'm going to switch over to Google Keep instead (which, unfortunately, is not as integrated with the desktop :-(

I have postponed the latest update until today and this is obnoxious.  As everyone else has said, previously there was one sticky note window in the task bar and clicking it once would bring all notes up, clicking it again would minimize all notes.

The update completed today and unlike everyone else, I don't have multiple different tabs, I have one tab that when clicked lists every stick note I have.  Not in any format I know which I am clicking.  Previously there was one.  How is this fixed?

That is probably because you have the "Combine taskbar buttons" option enabled whereas others don't.

So if this is the answer Microsoft is telling everyone to do, then this deosnt resolve anything.  With it this way, i have to click each individual one to see which note is which.

This setting must have came enabled but hopefully this shows Microsoft that that answer... doesn't fix anything.

The only solution right now is:

    1. Open the notes list
    2. Close the note windows

This will bring all into one page, and one window. doesnt look as classy as a sticky note but still good
