Sticky Notes Icon on taskbar is not combined

Yes, that is what's frustrating.

Same issue here in May 2021, after update to W10 build 1909. Changing this after so many years of having it function a certain way is pretty frustrating. Having several taskbar tabs labeled "Sticky Notes" is very cluttery. It might make more sense if the bar name reflected a preview of the note contents, but even this it's still clunky. Now this app really only makes sense to use for those who only use taskbar grouping. The previous version worked for all. Please change it back!

I seem to have version 4.1.6.0 and there's no way to downgrade unless you somehow get your hands on an older version from somewhere.

If microsoft can simply provide an archived version, one could install it using powershell commands.

as far as I remember, the combined notes (single icon or tab on the taskbar regardless of the number of notes open) worked in version 1.9.X.Y something. Does anyone know how to safely get that version?

The organization prohibits install of random software from the internet (understandable) so if Microsoft can provide a link to the previous version, that would be great.

Almost 2+ years and this issue is still bothering every one. This one is not moving into their backlogs soon. Time to find another app.

It's "solved" in Windows 11 - all taskbar items are combined and can't be shown individually. Ironically, they've solved this issue while completely mucking up the task bar.
