Sticky Notes Icon on taskbar is not combined

My biggest issue with the new one (aside from the taskbar issue) is not being able to resize text.  Why??

For those of you that just prefer the "old" Windows desktop app version. 

This looks like a direct port:

This creates the same folder in appdata and you can even drop your old StickyNotes.snt file in there.  Mine reopened with all my notes in the same spots and layouts!  1/7th the amount of RAM in use compared to the new UWP app.

I cannot verify the security or safety of this app, please install at your own risk.  There is no user level install option for this app.

Exact same problem.  Hopefully this is not a permanent change.

One other temporary but HIGHLY inconvenient workaround is to create a new desktop and move all the Sticky Notes to that new desktop.

These kinds of inexplicable updates to programs tempts me to go back to paper-based notes.

Horrible update!!!!!  Now I have six (6) tabs to open and close instead on one (1).  

Guess I will switch to word and use tabs and store it on my desktop.  It was nice being able to keep things keeps notes seperated by color and display at a click.  I suppose all good things must come to an end.

Your solution combines all similar programs and removes all labels. (this includes Edge, Explorer, etc) . I don't want to do that. I only want to combine the sticky notes the way it was before a recent windows update since now there are 7 sticky notes open on my task bar, taking up space, instead of one. Why would Microsoft do this and try to change something that works perfectly well?! This is so frustrating!

That's an absolutely worthless workaround as it interferes with how other programs are used. If anything Sticky Notes should be an icon in the system tray, not a taskbar item and certainly not multiple taskbar items.
