Sticky Notes Icon on taskbar is not combined

My computer just updated and broke this app in just the same way.  It seems to me that they could easily please everyone with a single toggle in the setup to combine the taskbar icons or not.  I WANT my Sticky Notes icons combined.  I do NOT want my other icons combined.  Actually this would be a great toggle for MANY programs, perhaps even make it common to ALL programs!  #DareToDream

I appreciated being told about Stickies. I am using them and although they have some additional capability, I prefer the simplicity of the Microsoft version. If you prefer Stickies, that's great, use them. I still prefer the old version of Sticky Notes, that would be my preference. 

That’s fair enough, but Microsoft don’t give a sheet about sticky notes anymore so you’re just gonna stress yourself out **** about it here.

I don't think people in general are listening.  JFS_2967 above found a solution but you're all still crying about microsoft.

Just use Stickies. I've been using it since JFS found it and it's actually better than Sticky Notes.

Same here. This is contrary to the concept of Sticky Notes. Everyone I know hates this update.

2 major problems now

1. I now have the problem of a bunch of sticky note tabs on my taskbar when I use to have just one. I don't want to hide my labels on my other taskbar buttons which now I'm forced to do.
2. I use to be able to click on the one sticky note tab and all my sticky notes would open up exactly where I wanted them on my screen.  There was usefulness in doing that and now I can't.  Just like in real life you could put a sticky note wherever you wanted and now you can't.

This sucks.  If there was another program like the old sticky notes use to work I would switch in a heartbeat.
