After win 10 update, sticky notes now uses a separate taskbar tab for each note. Before update, all notes were in one tab.

***Title Modified Original: sticky notes***

And now, they might have even introduced ANOTHER bug with sticky notes - not only are all of the tabs combined, but sometimes switching to a new desktop does NOT remove the tabs from your taskbar - you have to close all of them and then reload the app before they finally do.

Wonderful, wonderful work MS. Gunna be taking a look at the Classic Sticky Notes program mentioned earlier in this thread. Tadoodles.

Exact same problem.  Hopefully this is not a permanent change.

One other temporary but HIGHLY inconvenient workaround is to create a new desktop and move all the Sticky Notes to that new desktop.

These kinds of inexplicable updates to programs tempts me to go back to paper-based notes.

Have just got to work to find out our PC's have been updated. Working in an online customer service, sticky notes was a great tool to have prepared canned response one click away. This update has left the majority of the office very pissed off as it makes our job 100x harder. None of the solutions above apply as most of us have 30+ notes on our desktops, now we have no way of getting to them quickly without minimising every other window to get to them and open the right windows back up to paste the response. Whoever though this up is actually thick. A really useful tool destroyed, I hope Microsoft fix this.

I've just run into this problem after installing Windows update. Quite surprised that this issue having been reported several months ago still isn't fixed. Please Microsoft fix it. Why break what was working fine?

It is a real nuisance to have multiple tabs for sticky notes.  I also have several sticky notes running at any point of time.  Earlier they were all grouped together under a single tab, now all the sticky note tabs are flooding my taskbar, making it extremely cluttered.  Grouping the apps in the taskbar does not help, since I always prefer to have individual tabs for individual files (such as microsoft excel worksheets, and browser tabs).  Can MS developers go back to the earlier version of grouping all the sticky note tabs under a single one?  That would be very convenient.
