I can draw on a snip, but it is hard to write a note with a mouse.

Can I add a text box and  type a note on a snip?

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you want to add a text box to type a note on a snip using when using Snip & Sketch. However, I would like to inform that the feature to add a text box is currently not available.

I commend you for noticing this feature not being within Snip & Sketch. We would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions, as there may be other users with a similar requirement. Hence, I would suggest you to post a feedback in Microsoft Feedback Hub so that our developing team can review your suggestions and check if it can be included in the future updates.

Regards,

Sorry, but you said it, "not convenient".  If one were going to use PAINT, one could do Alt-PrtScrn, open Paint, and do the whole thing there, no Snip & Sketch at all.

Snip & Sketch needs a text feature to be worth using.

I agree, i have TeckSmith’s Snagit.  I could also simply use that.

My initial thread wasn’t to bash the product but to make it better.  Its simple to use, does’t have a lot of overhead and it would be great if they add the text box feature.

Hi, I have just stumbled across another solution - that works!

Advanced System Care has a screenshot facility that does allow for text to be added.

And not only that - you can change the font size, colour, and where the text box is positioned.

Pretty much most of what is needed, apart from the fact that you should have this as part of MS Office.

However it does not have arrows or straight lines ability - you still scribble them on with a mouse.

This is pretty good if you have Advanced System Care - the facility is in the performance monitor.

Keep on nagging MS for them to include a real Snip and Edit facility.

    Martin

Can't begin to explain how frustrating it is without the ability to type within "snip & sketch".

    Please fix ASAP.

Please add this feature, many of us don't use touch devices (like the millions of PC users)
