I can draw on a snip, but it is hard to write a note with a mouse.

Can I add a text box and  type a note on a snip?

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you want to add a text box to type a note on a snip using when using Snip & Sketch. However, I would like to inform that the feature to add a text box is currently not available.

I commend you for noticing this feature not being within Snip & Sketch. We would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions, as there may be other users with a similar requirement. Hence, I would suggest you to post a feedback in Microsoft Feedback Hub so that our developing team can review your suggestions and check if it can be included in the future updates.

Regards,

Microsoft has made NO effort to respond to 2+ years of requests around a need to add an simple ability to type or label 'snips' or add arrows.  They have not given any acknowledgement here that the request is a valid one or if they want further input.  It has been 100% silence. Maybe we are asking in the wrong place ?

Either way - all we ever hear from Microsoft is "that is good feedback" or "We'll make a note of that" ... so for all we know they are ignoring this or it has been assigned to some intern that does not care. :-(

This is the first mandatory feature should be in a  Snip & Sketch program.

    first: adding text

    • rectangle highlight feature ( + circular should be nice)
    • arrow between 2 points

I used the Windows 10 Feedback Hub to post it, I want to think that it's the right way to been eared.

I invite you to post it too, here are the steps:

No surprise "Snip and Sketch add text" is between frequent suggestions.
