Snip & Sketch add a text box

I can draw on a snip, but it is hard to write a note with a mouse.

Can I add a text box and  type a note on a snip?

I understand that you want to add a text box to type a note on a snip using when using Snip & Sketch. However, I would like to inform that the feature to add a text box is currently not available.

I commend you for noticing this feature not being within Snip & Sketch. We would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions, as there may be other users with a similar requirement. Hence, I would suggest you to post a feedback in Microsoft Feedback Hub so that our developing team can review your suggestions and check if it can be included in the future updates.

    Microsoft team ,

    Yes , a simple text box function is much required.    Annotating screen clips is useful business tool.

    Snip & Sketch needs the ability to add text, then it would be awesome!

    I typically always use Snipping Tool because I seldom if ever add anything to it. However just now I needed to add text and an arrow and ended up copying and pasting into Paint.

    Alternatively, an option to open in Paint would work as well.

    Click the 3 dot ellipsis at upper right to open in paint.

    Agreed the text function is necessary. Whatever the strategy is for not incorporating the use of text is ridiculous. If it was an oversight, it would be even more ridiculous. Since this feature is not incorporated, it forces me to use a Microsoft competitor such as Bluebeam or an Adobe Suite product. Microsoft Word or Paint works, but they are the most non-user-friendly software when dealing with images and text. If you are waiting for 'enough' people to complain, your regular users would have already moved on to a different program. 

    This thread has been open since June 2019 and no text function exists as of February 2020 - very disappointing.
